I. Instrument Applications
The interfacial dilational rheometer is used for automatic measurement of static and dynamic contact angles using the sessile drop method, and for measurement of static and dynamic surface/interfacial tension using the pendant drop method. It also supports Laplace pressure and surface pressure analysis. The instrument provides multiple methods for calculating the surface free energy of solids and its components, analyzes the polar and dispersive components of liquid surface tension, calculates and analyzes the work of adhesion, and generates diagrams showing the relationship between adhesion work and wettability. It further enables interfacial dilational rheological analysis using harmonic functions and relaxation analysis, including the evaluation of interfacial dilational modulus, elastic modulus, viscous modulus, and phase angle.
Measurement range for contact angle: 0–180°; Measurement accuracy: ±0.1°, resolution: ±0.01°; Measurement range for surface/interfacial tension: 1×10⁻² to 2×10³ mN/m, resolution: ±0.01 mN/m; Dynamic surface/interfacial tension range: 0.01–2000 mN/m.
