On 8 March 2026, the School of Advanced Materials celebrated International Women's Day with a warm gathering at the Activity Centre in Building 6. The event brought together female faculty and students to celebrate their presence, achievements, and the light they bring to the School community.

Organised by the Graduate Student Association, the afternoon featured cake sharing, interactive games, a lucky draw, and a photo corner for attendees to capture the occasion. Each participant received a small gift package including flowers, a towel, and scented soap as a token of appreciation and warm wishes from the School.
