Peking University warmly welcomes new students! Instructions regarding your enrollment process are as follows:
I. Registration hours: 8:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m., August 31, 2026. You need to bring your Admission Notification (electronic version is also acceptable), Confirmation Form for Study in China (JW202), Passport, a copy of CSCSE certification (electronic version is also acceptable). Please check in at the Conference Center of Shenzhen University Town (Xili, Nanshan District, Shenzhen)-Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School. The university will conduct an enrollment verification for postgraduate students who have registered; those who arrive for registration earlier than the assigned date and time will not be processed. Students who fail to register within two weeks of the designated date without a justifiable reason will have their admission eligibility revoked. Special reminder: Between the receipt of the admission letter and the registration, students should not modify any key personal information, such as their name, ID number or gender. If any inconsistency is found in the information submitted for student-status registration, the student shall bear all resulting consequences.
II. When entering the campus, please present your Admission Notification or campus entry permit to the security personnel.
III. Students arriving in Shenzhen via Shenzhen Railway Station (Luohu), Shenzhen North Station, Shenzhen East Station (Buji), Futian Station, or Shenzhen Airport may refer to the following route to reach the university campus (subject to actual traffic conditions on the day of arrival):
1. Shenzhen Railway Station: Take Metro Line 1 to "Chegongmiao" Station, transfer to Metro Line 7 to "Beida" Station, exit at Exit C, and walk 300 meters to reach the main entrance of PKU Campus;
2. Shenzhen North Station: Take Metro Line 5 to "Xili" Station, transfer to Metro Line 7 to "Beida" Station, exit at Exit C, and walk 300 meters to reach the main entrance of PKU Campus;
3. Shenzhen East Station: Take Metro Line 5 to "Xili" Station, transfer to Metro Line 7 to "Beida" Station, exit at Exit C, and walk 300 meters to reach the main entrance of PKU Campus;
4. Futian Station: Take Metro Line 2 to "Antoshan" Station, transfer to Metro Line 7 to "Beida" Station, exit at Exit C, and walk 300 meters to reach the main entrance of PKU Campus;
5. Shenzhen Airport: Take Metro Line 11 to "Qianhaiwan" Station, transfer to Metro Line 5 to "Xili" Station, then transfer to Metro Line 7 to "Beida" Station, exit at Exit C, and walk 300 meters to reach the main entrance of PKU Campus;
Note: When using the Shenzhen Metro or public transport, you may scan the "Pass Code" via WeChat or Alipay, or use a Shenzhen Tong card or UnionPay card for payment.
IV. In order to access the network of the main campus of Peking University, Shenzhen Graduate School's campus, as well as the university's internal system, you must log in via the university's unified identity authentication system. The account number is your 10-digit student ID number, and the initial password is a 8-digit number of your date of birth.
For your first login, you will need to follow the system prompts to complete your information, activate your account, and change your initial password; the new password must be between 8 and 16 characters long. Please keep your new password secure and bear it in mind.
Note: For instructions on using the network services at the Shenzhen Graduate School, please refer to section XI; please do not top up your internet data on the university's main campus network service platform.
V. Please note: Some international students in the Class of 2026 may temporarily disregard this provision regarding tuition.New students must pay their tuition fees before registering for the semester (postgraduate students receiving the National Postgraduate Financial Aid or Special Postgraduate Scholarship shall first pay their full tuition fee; Grants and scholarships will be disbursed separately after enrollment.) Those who cannot pay their full first-year tuition fee will not be allowed to register for the semester, and there will be no accommodation arrangements for such students. Starting from August 10 (inclusive), new students should search for or scan the QR code at the bottom of this document via WeChat on their mobile phones to follow the "Nanyan Information Portal" official account; upon entering the account, click "Nanyan Portal" to access the mini-program and log in (refer to section IV for account number and password); then, click [Services] - [Mobile Orientation] - [Self-service Tuition Payment] / [Self-service Accommodation Fee Payment.] Alternatively, students may use their university's unified identity authentication account to log in to the General Academic Affairs System of Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School (https://eams.pkusz.edu.cn), click on the "Orientation Service Network" card, locate the "Self-service Registration" option at the top row, and click it to check and pay their tuition and accommodation fees accordingly.
VI. The tuition fee standards shall be subject to the admission guidelines; the criteria for the Graduate Student Special Scholarship shall be subject to the evaluation and public announcement issued by each college.
VII. Upon registration, you shall prepare: 4 recent one-inch color full-face bare-head photos taken with flat-lighting, and a digital version of white-background ID photo (to be used for applying for the Shenzhen Medical Insurance Card, Shenzhen Residence Permit, etc.; your hair must be neat, your face, eyes, eyebrows, ears, or shoulders should not be covered; no glasses, necklaces, or head accessories are allowed). Please also bring 3 copies of your ID card and 3 copies of your academic diploma and degree certificate, for use in various documentation and administrative procedures. Students who have passed foreign language tests such as CET, GRE, or TOEFL shall bring both the original certificates and 2 copies thereof.
VIII. On-campus Accommodation Check-in:
Please note: Housing for international students has already been assigned, so you may ignore this housing selection option.
1. Room Selection: The room-selection period is from July 17 to July 30,2026 (9:00 a.m.–20:00 p.m. daily). Please strictly adhere to the official opening hours of the system, which is only accessible within this time frame). Search for or scan the QR code at the bottom of this document via WeChat to follow the "Nanyan Information Portal" official account. Upon entering the account, click on "Nanyan Portal" to access the mini-program and log in (refer to Section IV for account and password). Click on [Services] - [Campus Life] - [Student Dormitory System] - [Student Accommodation Agreement] to sign the accommodation agreement online. Then, click on [Pre-room Selection for New Students] to begin the room selection process. Relative instructions and rules are avaliable on the interface after login. Those who fail to select a room by the deadline shall be deemed to have automatically waived
their accommodation eligibility.
Note: PhD students don’t need to finish this step.
i. Payment method for accommodation fees: Refer to Section 6.
ii. Check-in Registration: Please bring your Admission Notification to complete the check-in process. Location: International Law Building (students admitted to the School of International Law), HSBC Building (students admitted to HSBC Business School), and Administrative Building H (students from all other schools).
iii. Access Authorization: Dormitory access has been processed in advance. You may enter the dormitory by swiping your campus card. If you are unable to enter, please bring your campus card to the Campus Life Service Center (next to Dormitory 4) for assistance.
iv. Fixed Asset Confirmation: Upon moving into the dormitory, you will receive a link on the Nanyan Information Portal Mini Program to confirm the dormitory's fixed assets. Please confirm whether all fixed assets in your dormitory are fully configured within 48 hours. If no confirmation is made by this deadline, it will be deemed that your dormitory's assets are complete and in good condition. If you encounter any issues, please report them promptly to the Campus Life Service Center.
v. Manage well your personal daily necessities. It is recommended not to bring suitcases larger than 100 cm × 50 cm × 40 cm, for there will be no enough space to store them.

IX. Precautions for luggage delivery:
1. Students may send their luggage to the university via postal delivery one week before registration.
2. For any fees charged by the postal service for loading, unloading, or storage of luggage, the university will advance these costs. Students need to cover this fee upon claiming their luggage.
3. Each piece of luggage must be securely packed and weatherproof; a luggage tag must be affixed to both ends of each item. Important information of your name, major, student ID number, and total number of pieces of luggage must be clearly indicated on both the luggage tag and the parcel label. The university does not guarantee that luggage without a luggage tag will be received properly.

X. Application for Shenzhen University Town Student Campus Card:
1. Functions: 1) Bank card for the distribution of scholarships and grants; 2) Consumption at university town cafeterias and shops; 3) Borrowing services at the university town library; 4) Access to internet accounts and top-up of internet fees; 5) For virtual campus cards, please follow the WeChat official account "Shenzhen University Town Campus Card Service" and complete the authentication and binding process.
2. Application and Activation of the Campus Card: New students should visit a bank counter or apply online for the issuance of a joint bank-university campus card according to the Application Instructions for Joint Bank-University Campus Cards. When the semester begins, please remember to bring your campus card when entering the campus. All new students shall
use the Shenzhen University Town Student Campus Card, which provides access to various campus services, including banking, library services, and meal card functions.
Once your campus card has been activated, you may follow the "Shenzhen University Town Campus Card Service" WeChat official account, click the "Claim Card" button, select "Student Identity," and enter your name, ID number, and mobile phone verification code to receive and activate your WeChat electronic campus card (Student Card). This electronic card can then be used at the university’s cafeteria to pay for meals.
3. International Students, Please Take Note:Individual Card Application: Students who are foreign nationals or already hold a University Town Campus Card should follow the WeChat official account "Shenzhen University Town Campus Card Service" as an individual user, locate the "Single Card Application" function, and submit an application according to the system prompts. After being approved by the campus-side administrator, the applicant should complete the required bank document online and then proceed to a Ping An Bank branch in the University Town to activate the card.
XI. Network Usage Guide: The username for your internet account is your student ID number, and the password is your 8-digit birth date (both the username and the password must match with the main campus unified authentication system). Free internet access will be available from the day of registration till September 13, 2026. Students are encouraged to visit the University Town Campus Service Center or the service provider’s booths in the residential area as soon as possible during this period to select a service provider, choose a rate plan, and top up your internet balance. (Note: The network services provided by Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School operate independently; please do not use the Peking University Information Portal to top up your internet balance, as this platform is exclusively for internet access at the main campus. For further information regarding campus network services, please refer to the "Nanguo Yanyuan Living Guide", which will be distributed upon enrollment. You are advised to pay special attention to the "Network Services" section.)
XII. For information regarding requirements for postgraduate education and degree conferral, please refer to the relevant regulations on the Graduate School of Peking University website (http://grs.pku.edu.cn).
XIII. Peking University is a smoke-free campus. Students are kindly requested to comply with the university's relevant rules and regulations and not to smoke in non-smoking areas on campus. In your daily life and academic activities, please actively participate in household waste sorting. To avoid space occupancy and enhance the overall quality of our campus, the university encourages students to choose walking or using shared bicycles for their travels in campus, conserve water and electricity, practice the "Clean Your Plate Campaign," and work together to build a green campus.
XIV. Psychological Assessment
To understand new students’ mental-health status and help them better adapt to postgraduate studies, all full-time new students shall complete the psychological assessment via the campus portal. Assessment results will be centrally stored by Peking University Mental Health Education and Counseling Center. In compliance with the Mental Health Law of the People’s Republic of China and the Code of Ethics for Clinical and Counseling Psychology of the Chinese Psychological Society, the center strictly protects personal privacy. The assessment will not exert any negative impact on students’ academic evaluation, further study or career
prospects. There are no right or wrong answers. Please fill in the questionnaire truthfully.

How to complete: Log in to the campus portal (https://portal.pku.edu.cn/portal2017/#/index)→Select“Information Services” →Click“All” →Locate“Personal Services” →Choose“Student Mental Health” →Complete personal information→Select“Assessment Files” → “Start answering”.

XV. On-campus Information Release Channels and Information Service Notices
All new students are required to follow the WeChat official account “Nanyan Information Portal” and log into the mini-program “Nanyan Portal”. This mini-program provides mobile-end access to academic teaching, research services, campus life and other service systems. It supports online services including room selection, online repair requests, sports venue reservations, physical-examination and insurance payment, freshmen orientation and graduation-related procedures. More online services will be launched successively in the future.

XVI. This is required for applying for a local residence permit. Please refer to the residence permit requirements for specific medical examination requirements.
Health examination:
You need to bring 3 pieces of 2inch photo, 1 JW202 copy, passport original and copy, your Admission Notification original and copy and your visa. There’s no need for fasting or reservation. Fee for examination is 440RMB. Duration of the examination depends on the patient volumes at the hospital (around 1 hour under favourable condition).
