From October 27 to 28, 2025, the 4th Conference of 3G Scientists was successfully convened at Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School. The event was jointly hosted by the School of Advanced Materials (SAM) at Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School, the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Peking University, and the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Hetao INnovation cEnter of Science (SHINES), with co-organization by Shenzhen XtalPi Technology Co., Ltd.
Opening Ceremony
The honorary chairs of the conference were Academician Jin Zhang of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Peking University, Academician Jwa-Min Nam of KAIST and Seoul National University, and Professor Dan Wang of Shenzhen University. The executive chairs were Professor Lianming Tong from the SAM at Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School and Professor Xin Gao from the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Peking University.
The opening ceremony was held on the morning of October 27 at the Shenzhen University Town International Conference Center. Professor Lianming Tong presided over the opening ceremony, and Academician Jin Zhang delivered the welcome address. He extended a warm welcome to the attending guests and emphasized the significant role of this conference in promoting international cooperation and collaborative innovation in the field of materials science.

The conference focused on cutting-edge developments in materials science, including energy materials and chemistry, new materials, and artificial intelligence.
