I. Forum Introduction

To promote international academic exchange in life and health materials and related interdisciplinary fields, and to foster innovative collaborations, the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Peking University is pleased to launch the 4th Peking University "Boya M-Talents" International Doctoral Academic Forum. Under the theme “Exploring New Frontiers in Life and Health Materials,” the forum provides a platform for doctoral students worldwide to exchange ideas and engage in high-level academic discussions.

Distinguished scholars, including Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, will be invited to deliver keynote speeches. Featured sessions will include poster presentations, roundtable forums for young scholars, and industry-academia-research collaboration exhibitions. Outstanding papers will be recommended for publication in partner journals such as Bioactive Materials.


II. Topics of Interests

Submissions are welcome in the following and related areas of life and health materials (including but not limited to ):

·   Bioactive and biomedical materials

·   Optoelectronic materials

·   New energy materials

·   Emerging carbon materials

·   Advanced structural materials

·   Computational materials science and AI-assisted materials simulation


III. Submission Guildlines

1.Eligibility: Current Ph.D. students from universities and research institutes worldwide.

2.Content: Original research results (in English, whether published or unpublished).

3.Format:

Abstract: including the title, authors, affiliations, etc. (Please refer to the attached template). Maximum file size: 5 MB.

Poster: Vertical format (90 cm × 120 cm). Maximum file size:10 MB.

4.Submission: Send the abstract (in Word format) and the poster (in PDF format) to pkumse@pku.edu.cn. The email subject line and file names should follow this format: 2025BYCS+University+Name.


IV. Awards

September 19, 2025 – Submission Deadline

September 26, 2025 – Notification of Acceptance

October 24–26, 2025 (Tentative) – Forum Dates


V. Benefits for Participants

1.Financial Support: Sponsored by the “Graduate Education Innovation Program” of Peking University. Ther is no registration fee. Accommodation and meals will be provided for accepted authors; meals will be offered to other participants, with assistance available for booking accommodation.

2.Academic Exchange: Participants are welocome to join the doctoral student community for regular online academic activities.

3.Industry Engagement: Opportunities will be available for direct dialogue with representatives from high-tech enterprises.
