Dear Researchers,

National Materials is a new open-access journal jointly established by Peking University and published in partnership with Wiley. The journal aspires to become a leading international platform for cutting-edge research in materials science. It is co-founded by Academician Jin Zhang (Peking University) and Nobel Laureate Sir Konstantin Novoselov (National University of Singapore), who serve as the inaugural Editors-in-Chief, supported by a globally renowned editorial board.

The journal focuses on advanced functional and structural materials, publishing breakthrough research on materials synthesis, structural characterization, property optimization, and device applications. It aims to foster fundamental innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and sustainable development in materials science. In December 2025, National Materials was selected as a High-Quality New Journal under the Excellence Action Plan for Chinese STM Journals—a significant milestone for the journal.

To further enhance editorial excellence, expand global reach, and provide a high-level platform for early-career researchers, the editorial office is now inviting applications to establish a dynamic and professionally accomplished Early-Career Editorial Board. We look forward to working with you to shape the future of materials science.
