I. Categories
Submissions may fall under one or more of the following themes:
・Research Light: Lab scenes, instrument glow, microstructures, data visualization—the visual language of materials science.
・Natural Light: Landscapes, seasonal shifts, and outdoor scenes on or off campus.
・Humanistic Light: Research life, classroom moments, and everyday interactions among faculty and students.
・Spring Festival Light: Lunar New Year traditions, hometown scenes, and moments of gathering with family.
II. Submission Guidelines
・Format: Single photos or series (up to 5 images per series, numbered). JPG or PNG, min. 2MB per file.
・Equipment: Any—phone, digital camera, or professional gear.
・Editing: Basic adjustments (color, crop, noise reduction) allowed. No altering core content or authenticity.
・Originality: All entries must be original. AI-generated or AI-assisted work is not permitted.
III. How to submit:
Send to 2501111404@stu.pku.edu.cn with the subject line:
[Name]-[Student/Staff ID]-[Theme Category](e.g., Zhang San-2501212777-Research Light)
Attach your image(s) using the same naming format.
For series, zip the folder with the same name.
In the email body, include:
・Title (≤10 words)
・Brief description (≤50 words)
・Contact information
Deadline: March 1, 2026, 11:59 PM. Late submissions will not be considered.
WeChat Group: Scan the QR code to join the contest group for updates.
VI. Selection Process
Initial Review: A panel of faculty and graduate student representatives will screen entries for relevance, originality, and content compliance.
Online Exhibition: Shortlisted works will be displayed on the school’s official WeChat channel by category, with public voting.
Final Selection: Winners will be determined by a weighted combination of panel review and public votes.

V. Terms & Conditions
・Entries must be original. Use of AI generation tools (text-to-image, etc.) is strictly prohibited.
・Submission grants the organizer rights to use the work for non-commercial purposes, including exhibition, promotion, and campus publications, with proper credit.
・Votes must be genuine; fraudulent voting will result in disqualification.
・Entries will not be returned. Please retain original files.
・Participants are responsible for any costs incurred.
・The organizer reserves the right of final interpretation.
