I. Instrument Applications
This instrument is used to measure parameters such as particle size, Zeta potential, molecular weight, transmittance, and refractive index of samples including nanomaterials, colloids, and emulsions. It is designed to characterize and assess particle size distribution, molecular dimensions, and the stability of various systems.
Particle size measurement range: Not narrower than 0.3 nm to 10 µm. Temperature control range and precision: Not narrower than 0–90 °C; supports trend analysis of particle size and potential versus temperature/time and generates trend reports. Refractive index range for solution systems: Not narrower than 1.28–1.5
II. Reservation Instructions
Users may operate the instrument independently after submitting samples for testing or completing training and passing the qualification assessment.
III. Sample Requirements
Samples should be well-dispersed in a liquid medium.
Ideally, the dispersant should meet the following conditions: transparent, have a different refractive index from the solute particles, be compatible with the solute particles (no swelling, dissolution, or association), have an accurately known refractive index and viscosity (error less than 0.5%), clean and filterable.
