About Nanyan News
Founded in 2010 under the guidance of the PKU Shenzhen Graduate School’s Communications Office, Nanyan News is a student-led media team composed of current master’s and PhD candidates. For 15 years, we have been committed to our mission: “Documenting History, Sharing PKU’s Voice.”
From covering campus milestones to innovating storytelling across platforms, we stand at the forefront of reporting on PKU Shenzhen’s growth. Our pens chronicle the endeavors of “PKUers in Shenzhen,” while our lenses capture the sweat and spark of every “light-chaser” on campus.
Today, Nanyan News has evolved into a multidisciplinary社团 (student organization) with 100+ members spanning journalism, information engineering, urban planning, environmental science, economics, law, and beyond. Our seven departments—Chinese Editorial, International Communications, Visual Media, TV Production, New Media, Operations, and Product Development—work collaboratively on interviews, photography, graphic design, event coordination, and cross-cultural exchanges.
International students are warmly welcomed to join! Whether you’re passionate about writing, filming, design, or bridging cultures, your voice belongs here.
